Poros lies towards the south of Lefkas island is a new resort for us and in our view one of the most beautiful. You head down from Lefkas town past Nidri and Gheni and after a few kilometres the view of the valley below that confronts you will take your breath away. Cypress and Olive laden hills flank a sheltered bay with a beautiful pebble beach and crystal clear waters. Not many who are driving along the upper road can resist the temptation to go down and investigate the stunning and peaceful setting and enjoy a drink or a snack at one of the handful of tavernas along the beach.

There are few properties for tourists and hardly any with a private swimming pool, and the ones we have are not only well appointed, they are just 250 metres along a narrow lane from the beach. Two villas stand in a large plot of land and each has a very spacious lawned garden around the swimming pool and privacy is provided by a hedge that splits the garden and the pool areas. The two detached villas are identical and on the ground floor, each has a good size sitting/dining room with an open plan fully equipped kitchen, a very large twin bedroom and also a bathroom with shower. Steps from the sitting room lead directly into a double bedroom on the first floor level and this room has a bathroom en-suite with a semi-circular corner bath. Off the bedroom there is direct access to a spacious terrace. A large covered verandah at the front is along the width of the living room and even the bedroom at this level has direct access to the gardens.

We are often asked if we have a property that may be suitable for people with walking difficulties and those unable to climb steps. These villas meet this requirement, as the walk to the tavernas is along a fairly flat track and there are shaded areas at the back of the beach. Apart from the seven to eight tavernas along the sea front, there are also a couple of mini-markets, therefore the resort is self contained with no need for transport. A relaxing break is assured in these delightful villas and equally lovely resort. There are no money changing facilities in the resort (nearest Nidri) but some tavernas and shops will accept sterling currency notes.
