Kefalonia
is the largest and most mountainous of the Ionian islands, and
despite its popularity, still remains an unspoilt destination.
We feature Lassi
in the south of Kefalonia, boasting some of the finest
sandy beaches in the Greek Islands, and with a wide choice of
local restaurants, it is an ideal family destination. Our
properties Poseidon and Anthula are peacefully located on the edge of
the sea and within a five minute walk to the resort facilties.
Trapezaki,
with a magnificent, mountainous backdrop and valleys of
cypress and olive trees, is a stunning location. Here we have four
independent villas called Russa, each with their own
private swimming pool and peacefully situated on the hillside
between Trapezaki and Lourdas beaches.
The peninsular of Vrahinari,
near the old capital of Lixouri, is a mostly unexplored area of
Kefalonia, yet possessing the most breathtaking scenery and
deserted beaches on the island. For those seeking a holiday off the
beaten track, Remetzo Villas offer the perfect
escape.
Assos
on the North West coast is a charming Greek village, and for those
who wish nothing more from a holiday than excellent swimming and
long lazy days in the sun, this resort is idyllic. Whether you are
seeking a luxury villa at Braunis Horio or a seafront
property in Sofia
cottage or Apollonia studios, Assos will give you the
opportunity to experience a true Greek atmosphere.
A further twenty minutes drive north takes you to the
picture postcard village of Fiskardo.
Its colourful harbour is the central point of this picturesque
resort, with a variety of tavernas on the sea front, it is a
magical spot in which to enjoy warm summer evenings and watch the
world go by. Properties with swimming pools are rare in Fiskardo,
but Martinis and Kaminakia offer this
facility, both are under ten minutes walk from the harbour and
offer magnificent sea views.
Many other sites in Kefalonia will tempt you to leave the beach
for a day including natural phenomena such as the wonderful
stalactic underground cave of Drogarati or the crystal clear blue
waters of the subterranean Melissani lake. For those who would like
to venture even further afield there are regular car ferries
connecting Kefalonia with the neighbouring islands of Ithaca,
Lefkas, and Zakynthos.
Nightlife on Kefalonia is relaxed and laid back usually spent in
that favourite taverna or bar sampling local Kefalonian wines,
renowned as some of the best available in Greece. Argostoli,
Kefalonia's capital, provides a pleasant diversion particularly at
night when the tavernas and cafes in the town square become the
social venue for both the locals and the tourists alike. Kefalonia,
unspoilt by the ravages of mass tourism is a fascinating
destination with appeal for both beach lovers and the more
dedicated Greek traveller
